Understanding Alfred Parking
The days of the parking meter are gone, and the Village has adopted a 2ist century parking solution. The previous meters were over 40 years old. As a result, the Village was left with a parking system which only recouped enough revenue to pay for the parts to fix broken meters but not the time spent by the Department of Public Works on repair rather than other, important business.
Now in the second decade of the new millennium, the meters have been replaced by an app to manage parking with the Village absorbing the transaction fee applied to each parking session.
ParkMobile is the provider, and you can download the app onto your smart phone. From there, you e-an select a method of-payment from credit, debit, or pre-paid card to Apple Pay and associate the license plate number from each car you park in the Village or any other municipality that also uses ParkMobile. https://parkmobile.io/
